Once you pick your descendant from a selection of 3, you'll spend your cash from the previous run and head into the Metroidvania world which itself is amazing considering the fact that it's differently laid out every time you enter it. Most of them will have some kind of condition that may be beneficial or a hindrance but rest assured the negative traits come with boosts such as you'll earn more gold. The thing is about each descendant that you play as is that they may not be quite right. So, will you try to maximize your cash to become even stronger or get up the nerve to take on one of the bosses? Whatever you choose, you're bound to have a blast. Thankfully, you'll become slightly more powerful between each run as you cash in earned currency for permanent upgrades. However, being able to do so will require many, many attempts as it's incredibly difficult stuff. For the unfamiliar, you play as a succession of descendants as you traverse a procedurally generated game world in the hopes of slaying its bosses and emerging victorious. I am a huge fan of the original Rogue Legacy and it's also one of the first games I've ever reviewed. □ This place looks like it smells bad Premise │ We love to hear from our visitors even if you disagree so please leave a respectful comment after reading this review. I love when excellent games get long-awaited sequels and thankfully, Rogue Legacy 2 was worth the wait as it's GOTY material. Rogue Legacy 2 is also available for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch Maciejewski playing an Xbox Series X on May 9, 2022
